Using Scalp Micro-Pigmentation for Scar Repair

We most commonly recommend that patients use a treatment to resurface and reduce the scarring and then use SMP to cover it up. SMP can be very helpful in a couple of ways. If you want to cover your entire scalp and therefore also hide the scars as part of that treatment, there are a few things to take into consideration beforehand. Be sure to find a qualified and experienced specialist to perform this treatment. The size, shape, and indentation of the scars on your scalp are also important factors. If the scar tissue is fairly flat and already quite thin, you may not need to do any preliminary resurfacing of the scar.
