There was a time in the past when surgical methods lacked advanced technology, artistry, and precision, so the results seemed unpredictable or unnatural. In the meantime, a hair growth industry revolving around medicated shampoos, pills, and potions grew significantly, yet most people still want a one-time, dramatic, and lasting restoration of their natural hair.
A hair transplant may be right for you if:
- You’re tired of covering up, wearing a hair piece, or camouflaging your scalp
- You prefer a drug-free way to grow your real hair
- You want to invest in long-term hair restoration and growth
- You want to completely transform your look and bring back the hairline, thickness, and styling possibilities you once had
- You know that your self-esteem and positivity are closely tied to how you look and how your appearance makes you feel

Hamilton FUE Hair Transplant Technology
FUE stands for follicular unit excision, and it’s the most precise, effective, and results-based choice for patients who want hair restoration with a nearly scar-free result.
All our hair transplant patients have a personal plan created for them using either SmartGraft or NeoGraft FUE hair transplant technology. These specialized “smart” devices allow our team to safely extract follicle grafts with minimal pain or scarring. In fact, hair graft removal sites are so small (typically less than 1 mm) that once they have healed, even short hair covers them well and they are not readily obvious, unlike the long, linear scars related to old-fashioned methods.
The procedure itself is very comfortable for our patients, and we are often told that the day was a breeze. As you relax on a treatment bed while your practitioners work, you can listen to music, scroll on your phone, or even sleep. Some patients have said that their hair transplant felt like a “day at the spa!”
Before beginning your FUE hair transplant procedure, we shave an area at the back of your scalp where robust, DHT-resistant hair follicles grow. (Dihydrotestosterone, or DHT, is the hormone responsible for male pattern badness.) Your donor grafts are then extracted in tiny sections of just a few hairs from this dense growth area.
You can get a pre-haircut so that your shorter donor area looks “normal” while it grows in. With a few accommodations while healing, many people successfully hide the fact that they had a hair transplant at all.
The recovery time after hair transplantation is 7 to 10 days, with minor swelling and small scab formation common during the first week, but gone during the second week.
Hair transplant results last for years – even a lifetime! However, patience at the beginning is a must. You won’t see new growth starting until the third month, and it will take a full year before all of the transplanted hairs grow to their full potential.
Good things come to those who wait. A permanent, real hair transplant is the best investment in yourself for hassle-free, stylable, washable, liveable hair that you’ll love to see and run your fingers through every day.
